Can I bring friends?
Of Course it is possible to bring your friends! ( As long as there is a ‘shift’ available for this person). Keep in mind that this person needs to sign up as a volunteer too. You can do this by sending us an e-mail to Family@festipi.nl
How many friends can I bring?
This depends on the festival. There is room for as much people as there are shifts. Be aware that everyone who joins the Festipi-crew (this includes friends and family) has to sign up by mailing us at Family@festipi.nl
Can you assure me to get a volunteering job at a festival?
When you sign up for a festival, you will receive a message in which we confirm your registration. After your application has been confirmed, we will keep you up to date about the status of the festival. This is because we need to ask for accreditation at the festival itself. In principle your place is secured as soon as we have confirmed your application, if there is an issue we will contact you . This may happen when there is a cancellation with a festival.
Can I also stay one day instead of a whole weekend?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. When you sign up for a festival you sign up for the hospitality shift and a construction or deconstruction shift. In our schedule plan, it will be indicated on which days you need to be present.
Do I have to be available during the whole festival or can I leave one day earlier?
You need to be available during the hospitality and construction/deconstruction of the tipis.
who can I mail if I have a question?
You can mail us with all your questions at: Family@festipi.nl
Can I bring my medicines?
When medicines are necessary it is alway permitted to bring them. Although you should take it into account that festivals have their own rules and regulations about medication. To be sure, you should read the rules of the festival itself, and in case you have a medicine passport, bring that with you to the festival. If you do not have one, you can request one at your general practitioner.
Are earplugs or other hearing protection provided?
These are not provided by Festipi.
Are there any clothing regulations?
- When needed we will provide you with a Festipi crew T-shirt for the duration of your shifts. After your shift, you need to return your shirt. Other than that, there are no regulations.
Can I store my belongings somewhere around the campsite?
- You can always store your belongings in your own tipi tent. You can close your tent with a lock but be aware that you are responsible for your own stuff.
Until when can I sign up for a festival?
We will inform you about the application deadline of a festival via email.
What is the restricted age of a volunteer?
The age restriction is 18+ to apply as a volunteer, but this restriction might be higher on some festivals.
What should I do when I unfortunately cannot attend a festival I have signed up for?
If you are hindered after your registration, you should inform us as soon as possible. If this is the case we will expect your help to find a new volunteer. This is why it is important to make sure you are available at the time of the festival when you sign up.
Are raincoats available?
Raincoats are available during the construction and decontruction of the tipis. During the hospitality, you should bring your own.
Should I bring cash money or can I pay by card, what do you advice?
On most festivals, you can pay by card, but there are some exceptions, so we advise bringing some cash as well.
If you have any questions that are not listed here, feel free to mail firstname.lastname@example.org Or ask your question in the chat.
Do I need to stay the whole weekend at a festival?
You can only apply for whole shifts. You should be available for the whole shift. The hospitality shift starts when the camping ground opens, and stops when the camping ground closes. Be aware that beside the hospitality shift you need to attend a construction or deconstruction shift as well.
How much time does the construction/deconstruction of the tipis take?
This depends on the wheater, and how hard the team is working, in most cases it will take 4-5 hours. Be aware that the travel time is not included in this estimation.
Do I have to attend both the construction and the deconstruction of the tipis?
We would be very happy if you could! 😉
However, this is not necessary, you only have to help with one of them. (Besides the hospitality, of course)
What is hospitality?
During hospitality, you will help customers with checking in and out of their tents. During the event, you will also help customers with questions, if you do not have an answer you can call the Festipi crew. You will also guard the campsite and prevent issues, for example, prevent people from breaking the tent, or stealing things. Other than this, feel free to go to the festival and make it a big party ;)!
Can I drink alcohol during hospitality?
This is allowed, after all you are at a festival. Although we expect you to be approachable at any time. As a part of the Festipi crew you have certain responsibilities.
Can I use drugs during hospitality?
for the use of drugs are the same rules applied as for alcohol.
What do I get in return for my work?
As a compensation for your work you will get the following things:

– One sleeping accommodation (for 2 persons)
– One festival ticket
FAQ tipi tents
Do I get a tipi tent?
As part of the Festipi crew you will always get a ‘crew tipi’ during the event
What size is the tipi?
The tipi is 3m high, and wide. With this size there is room enough for 2 persons including luggage.
Do I need to clean the tipi afterwards?
You could say that you borrow the tipi during the festival. And it is of course expected that you bring something back in a proper state after you borrowed it. 😉
Is there a source of electricity in or close to the tent?
In most cases there is no power outlet near or in the tents. As crew you have to use the same outlets as the festival goer. (If you have any doubt bring a powerbank)
Can I take a BBQ with me?
The Festipi crew has to follow the same rules as any other festival goer/camping visitor. If the camping allows it, you can do it. If you want to know the rules you can see them on the festival website .

Does Festipi provide a parking lot when I come by car?
Do I get a ticket for one day or for the whole weekend?
We will provide you with a ticket for the whole weekend.
Does Festipi provide food, or do I have to buy it myself?
